Above-ground pool installation

What’s under the pool decides how long the pool lasts.

Above-ground installation across Lake of the Ozarks and Rolla, with the site prep done properly. The crew that puts it in is the crew that services it afterward.

Almost every above-ground failure traces back to the ground

A pool wall that buckles, a liner that wrinkles and won’t sit, a pool that sits visibly out of level after a season — these look like product problems and are almost always installation problems. Specifically, they’re what happens when a pool goes onto ground that was close enough rather than level.

Ozarks lots make that harder than it sounds. Slope is normal here, rock is common, and the topsoil is often thin. Cutting into a slope and building the low side up with fill is the tempting shortcut, and it’s also the thing that fails — fill settles under load, and a pool full of water is a lot of load.

So we quote site prep as part of the job rather than discovering it on install day. Sometimes that means the number is higher than the one someone else gave you over the phone. It’s also the difference between a pool that’s still level in year eight and one that isn’t square by year two.

Site prep

Cut to level rather than filling to level wherever the lot allows, base material laid and compacted, and the footprint checked before anything goes up. If the lot has rock or serious slope we’ll tell you during the quote, not once the crew is standing there.

Installation

Wall, liner, and equipment set and plumbed. Most installs run one to two days once the site is ready. We fill and balance the water and hand it over swimmable rather than leaving you with a pool and a chemistry problem.

Service afterward

The same crew that installed it can service it, which means when something goes wrong nobody is blaming the other guy. Weekly plans, openings, closings and repairs all run from the same phone number.

Site prep and leveling

Cut to level where possible, base laid and compacted, slope and rock assessed before quoting.

Wall, liner, equipment and plumbing. Filled, balanced and swimmable on handover.

Service after

Weekly plans, openings, closings and repairs from the crew that built it.

Questions we get

How long does installation take?

One to two days once the site is prepared. Site prep itself varies with the lot.

Do you do the ground work?

Yes, and we quote it with the install. Anyone quoting an above-ground pool without seeing the lot is guessing at the most important part.

My yard slopes. Is that a problem?

Common here and usually workable. It changes the prep and the price, which is why we look first.

What size should I get?

Depends on the space, the slope and who's swimming. We'd rather talk it through on site than sell you the biggest thing that fits.

Do I need a permit?

It depends on your county and whether there's decking or electrical involved. We'll tell you what applies to your address.

Can you service it after?

Yes, and most of our install customers stay on weekly service.
