Pool cleaning and repair in Sunrise Beach

For the pool that sits alone from Monday to Friday.

Weekly cleaning, repairs, openings and closings along the north shore — Sunrise Beach, Laurie, Gravois Mills and the coves between them. Most of these pools belong to people who arrive on Friday, and our job is that the water is right when they do.

Tree cover is the thing that actually costs you here

The north shore is wooded, and the lots are steep. That’s most of why people buy here, and it’s also why these pools behave differently from a pool sitting in an open yard in town.

Oak and hickory canopy means a constant organic load — pollen in spring, leaves from September on, and tannins the whole time in between. Tannins stain plaster and vinyl a brownish tint that people mistake for algae and treat with shock, which does nothing. Meanwhile the debris load fills skimmer baskets faster than a weekly visit is designed for, and once a basket is full the skimmer stops skimming and the pump starts starving.

So the two things that matter most on a Sunrise Beach pool are basket discipline and catching a stain early. We check and clear baskets every visit as a matter of course, watch filter pressure for the creep that says the filter is loading up, and flag discoloration while it’s still treatable rather than after it has set into the surface.

Midweek service, weekend arrivals

We schedule the north shore midweek on purpose. A pool cleaned Wednesday is clear by Friday afternoon, which is when it matters. A pool cleaned Monday has had four days of canopy drop on it before anyone sees it.

Nobody is there to notice

The real risk on a weekend property isn’t dirty water, it’s a failure that runs unattended. A pump losing prime or a leak dropping the water below the skimmer can destroy equipment in days. Our tech sees the pool every week and you get the reading and the photo the same day, so a problem gets caught by someone rather than discovered on arrival.

Sunrise Beach questions

My pool has a brown tint but the chlorine is fine.

That’s usually tannin staining from leaf and bark litter, not algae. Shock won’t touch it. It needs a stain treatment and sometimes a sequestrant, and it’s far easier to handle early than after a season.

Can you come before we drive up on Friday?

That’s how the north shore route is built. We service midweek so the pool has settled and cleared by the time you arrive.

Nobody is at the house. How do you get in?

We keep gate and dock codes on file and our techs work unattended properties all season. You get a photo every visit, so you can see we were there and what we did.

We get a lot of leaves. Is weekly enough?

Through most of the season, yes, with baskets cleared every visit. Through heavy leaf drop in fall some properties do better with a cover or an extra visit, and we’ll say so rather than let you fight it.

Do you cover Laurie and Gravois Mills?

Yes, both are on the north shore route, along with Greenview.

Can you just close it early?

Yes. On a property nobody visits after Labor Day, closing early saves you chemicals and a fall of leaf fishing. Closings are billed separately.
