Nobody calls with a diagnosis, they call with a symptom
The four calls we get most are the pump won’t hold prime, the water won’t clear, the chlorine reading won’t come up, and the level keeps dropping. Every one of those has at least three plausible causes, and they cost wildly different amounts to fix.
A pump losing prime might be a cracked lid o-ring worth eleven dollars or a failing shaft seal that means pulling the motor. Water that won’t clear might be a filter that needs cleaning, a filter that needs media, or perfectly good filtration fighting chemistry that’s out of balance. Guessing at these over the phone is how people end up buying a pump they didn’t need.
So we don’t quote blind. A tech comes out, tests the system under pressure, and tells you what’s actually wrong before any number gets attached to it. Sometimes that conversation ends with a repair. Sometimes it ends with us telling you the equipment has a season or two left and to spend the money elsewhere.
Pumps and motors
Bearing noise, air leaks on the suction side, seals, impellers and full motor replacement. If your pad still runs a single-speed pump we’ll show you the running-cost math on going variable-speed — and we’ll also tell you when a working pump is worth leaving alone.
Filters
Cartridge, DE and sand. Rising pressure is the signal most people miss: a filter that has climbed 8–10 psi over clean is already starving the pump and costing you flow. Cleans, media changes, and replacement when the tank or laterals are done.
Heaters
Ignition faults, pressure switches, flow problems and scaled heat exchangers. Heaters fail in ways that look like each other, which is why this is the repair most often misdiagnosed. Hard fill water inland makes exchanger scaling more common than people expect.
Salt systems
A cell that stopped producing is usually scaled rather than dead, especially on hard fill water. We check cell condition, clean or replace, and verify the board is actually reading correctly before anyone buys a new cell.
Leak detection
If you’re adding water more than about a quarter inch a day beyond evaporation, something is leaking. We isolate plumbing, check the structure and the fittings, and find it before you start digging. Quoted separately from weekly service.

Heaters and filters
Ignition faults, flow problems, scaled exchangers, media changes and tank replacement.

How much will my repair cost?
We won't guess over the phone, because the same symptom can mean an eleven dollar part or a full motor. A tech diagnoses it first and you get a number before any work starts.
Do you carry parts?
Common items ride on the truck — seals, o-rings, unions, gaskets, basic electrical. Most repairs finish on the first visit. Specialty parts and full units are ordered and quoted.

Is it worth repairing or should I replace?
Depends on the age of the unit and what else on the pad is near end of life. We'll tell you honestly — there's no sense selling you a pump that's going to sit next to a heater that fails next season.
My salt cell says no flow but the pump is running.
Usually a flow switch, a scaled cell, or a genuine flow restriction upstream. Three different repairs, three different prices. It needs testing rather than parts-swapping.
